A tavern older than the country it sits in.
Before there was a United States, there was an inn on this corner. The White Horse Hotel opened in 1757 as a stop for travelers along the pike — food, drink and a bed for the night. Nearly three centuries later, the food and drink are still the point.
The short history
- 1757The White Horse Hotel opens, anchoring the corner of what is now Old Bethlehem Pike.
- The long middleGenerations of travelers, neighbors and regulars pass through — the corner becomes a Sellersville fixture.
- 2005The room is reborn as The Horse Tavern & Grill: the heritage kept, the kitchen and the calendar turned up.
